Published 1904. A Short History of England by Edward P. Cheyney, formerly owned by Iva Carter of Greenville, Texas. I found this book in Austin in a used book store. I liked it because, first of all, I love old books, but also because the book is chock full of handwritten notes and personal musings by a young lady named Iva Carter, probably circa 1920s or 1930s. In addition to notes from the class, she wrote reminders to herself, messages to what I presume are other classmates, and even her own marriage announcements. I tried to learn about her on the Web but came up with nothing. These photographs are dedicated to Iva.
