Black and white photograph of the windows of the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Famous as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from the 1940s to the 1970s, the building started in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle, hence the church-like style of the windows and the nick name "mother church of country music." The Ryman continues as one of the nation's most famous and admired performance venues.

Because the assembly was not in session, the lights were off in the room, with just natural light from the decorative overhead skylight to illuminate the massive mural at the head of the room.
