New in the Charleston portfolio, two beautiful antique door keys
Last winter, Keith spent a week walking the historic streets of Charleston, absorbing the atmosphere, learning the neighborhoods, and photographing an unbelievable number of gorgeous historic buildings. Some of Charleston's stunning architecture is hundreds of years old.
That's what makes these antique door keys so fascinating. What doors did these keys unlock? Do the buildings still exist? In Charleston, it's quite possible the original buildings still stand. But even more interesting, one of the keys is engraved with the date 1877. Imagine that someone used this key to unlock a door in Charleston 140 years ago.
