Announcing a new collection of photographs designed to be displayed as a set
I'm excited to announce a new category of portfolio on the website: Sets and Groupings.
This is a collection of photographs that were conceived from the outset to be shot, printed, framed, and displayed as separate pieces grouped together on the wall. Thinking in terms of multiples is a new way of working for me and is an area of emphasis for me in the new year. The fact that we have set aside a named collection to offer these prints demonstrates how important this will be to me as an artist going forward.
Created to be part of a larger whole
Of course, many of my photographs can be displayed together, but these are photographs that were designed from the click of the shutter to be parts of a greater whole. In many cases, they are diptychs or triptychs, which simply means each print is a separate section of a greater overall photograph.
The leaf diptych below if a perfect example. Sized at an overall 40 x 60-inches, this is two separate macro photographs, designed to stack in a vertical juxtaposition. Printing this large allows the viewer to see the "landscape" of a dried leaf in an unexpected and unusually detailed way.

We hope you will enjoy the new work in the collection and will check back often to see more photographs that will be created and added to this collection in the near future.
