Platinum/Palladium Prints
Handmade platinum/palladium prints from fine art photographer Keith Dotson.
Platinum/palladium printing is an antique process using the noble metals of platinum and palladium painted in a light sensitive solution onto 100-percent cotton rag paper.
Considered the pinnacle of monochrome fine art photography printing, platinum/palladium prints are the most permanent form of archival photo printing. If handled properly, the image will never fade and it has been said that these prints could last 1,000 years or more.
Because of the handmade nature of the printing process, every print — even those made from the identical negative — is unique.
