Fine art photographer Keith Dotson has released new landscape photographs with a behind-the-scenes location video
91-degrees Fahrenheit. The buzz of insects all around. Happy birds chirping and tweeting in the tree tops. Bullfrogs croaking in the river bottom. Butterflies fluttering from one bloom to another. The sweet smell of green plants in late spring. This was my experience on a recent hike at one of my favorite spots.
One of the things I regret about landscape photography is that it can't give the full sensation of being on a location. Only being there can do that, but video adds a little extra dimension to sharing the experience. Video also shows the scene in a realistic way, which allows the viewer to compare my artistic interpretations in black and white still photographs.
Join me on location in the short video, then scroll down to see how the photographs turned out. I'm pretty proud of them.
