Black and white photograph of ferns growing from a big southern oak tree

Wall art photograph of silvery ferns growing from a dark tree trunk by Keith Dotson

Across the southern United States, ferns grow from old buildings and other places where cracks can allow them to take root. But they especially seem to love growing from the big branches and trunks of giant southern oak trees. On this tree, the tiny fern leaves seem to shimmer like silver against the dark bark of the big tree.
